All Our 2025 UCE Candidates earned a Clean Sweep
Cheers filled SPENA on Monday 16th Feb, 2026 as we hosted parents, teachers, and our top performing S.4 candidates for a special celebration of the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results.
The ceremony was more than a recognition event, it was a powerful testament to resilience, consistency and the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
All 341 candidates who sat the examinations earned Result One, a 100 percent pass rate. Across all subjects combined, students earned distinctions, As, Bs , Cs & Ds . More strikingly, no learner recorded an E grade in any subject.
During the celebration, the Director of Studies, Mr. Gerald Ahisibwe welcomed parents and staff, noting that the 2025 candidates had improved on the previous year’s performance.
“It is not just about high achievers,” he said. “It is about lifting every learner. This year, none of our candidates scored an E. That reflects growth across the board.”
The Headmaster described the results as phenomenal, emphasizing that the celebration was deliberate.
“We are not here by chance,” he said. “Every candidate excelled within the A to D range. That speaks to discipline, consistency and partnership,” said Atwiine Darius, Headmaster
For many parents, the achievement was personal.
One mother credited the school’s steady academic guidance for her daughter’s strong performance and encouraged students to flower wherever they are planted. Another parent, who has been part of the school community for two decades, pointed to what he described as a defining feature of the institution, strong teacher–student relationships.
“That connection builds confidence,” he said. “And confident students perform.”
Mr. John Katongole, our Principal was overwhelmed with joy and pride, and emphasized what makes SPENA different.
“We believe in transformation,” he said. “With patience and structure, every learner can experience meaningful growth.”
Towards the conclusion of the event, the school recognised its top performers with merit-based bursaries of 100%, 50% and 30% towards their continued studies at SPENA. The leading candidates were also presented with shopping vouchers in appreciation of their outstanding academic achievement.
In a year when academic outcomes remain a subject of national conversation, our 2025 candidates have set a benchmark. Congratulations once again to our UCE 2025 candidates!
